The Protecting Youth in Sports Act

The Manitoba Table Tennis Association (MTTA) remains fully committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all athletes, coaches, volunteers, and participants. As part of this commitment, MTTA continues to align with provincial and national Safe Sport standards, including requirements under The Protecting Youth in Sports Act. These measures strengthen participant protection, reinforce accountability, and support a positive sport culture across all levels of table tennis in Manitoba.

Safe Sport is a shared responsibility, and MTTA works in partnership with Sport Manitoba and national sport organizations to ensure that all members understand their roles in maintaining safe and respectful sport environments. These standards help guide best practices in coaching, conduct, reporting, and overall program delivery.
